«دقيق وغضب: كيفية عمل نسوية مصرية» هو عبارة عن سرد صوتي ومرئي يشمل رسم توضيحي ووسائط متعددة، يتساءل عما يمكن وما لا يمكن أن تكون عليه المرأة القاهرية فيما يتعلق بالتوقعات المجتمعية. يأخذ المشروع المُشاهد من البداية إلى النهاية في جولة مجازية لتجربة المرأة القاهرية من خلال شكل لوصفة على موقع «ويكي هاو».

يتناول عملنا كمصممين ورسامين توضحيين كيف يصنع المجتمع المصري نماذج للنساء تتفق مع آرائهم حول ما يجب وما لا يجب أن تكون عليه/ تمارسه/ تشعر به/ تمتلكه النساء. تسعى العديد من النساء إلى الكمال والموافقة المجتمعية بسبب الضغط والقلق الاجتماعي.

تتكون المرحلة الحالية لهذا المشروع من رسوم توضيحية تفاعلية، مع تعليق صوتي إرشادي؛ يجمع الوصفة بالعناصر المرئية المعروضة. نخطط لتقديم وصفتين إضافيتين، وندعو المجتمع لتقديم المزيد من الوصفات والقصص.

نطمح في المستقبل تطوير هذا المشروع إلى كتاب مصوّر بخاصية الواقع المعزز و/أو اللوحات الرقمية التوضيحية، حيث يمكن للمشاهدين التنقل من خلال السرد المرئي والمسموع والتعرف على المرأة القاهرية في تجربة تعايشية ثرية.

Flour and Fury: How to Make an Egyptian Feminist is an audio and visual narrative encompassing illustration and mixed media that questions what a Cairene woman can and cannot be in relation to societal expectations. Appropriating the format of a “wiki-how” recipe, the project takes the viewer from start to finish through a metaphorical journey of a Cairene woman’s experience.

As designers and illustrators, our work addresses how the Egyptian society makes templates for women. In order to satisfy their views of what a woman should and should not be/experience/feel/have, many women seek perfectionism and community approval due to societal pressure and anxiety.

The current iteration of this project consists of interactive illustrations along with a guiding voice-over that juxtaposes the recipe with the visuals presented. We are planning two additional recipes and are inviting the community to submit more recipes and stories. In the future, we plan to develop this project into an illustrated book with an augmented reality (AR) feature and/or illustrated digital paintings, in which viewers can navigate through audio and visual narratives and learn about the Cairene woman in a richly immersive experience.
